The thread through the work

A shared starting point

Different places.
Different possibilities.
Always people.

A light installation can make room for remembrance. A street can change how we experience a city. A landscape can hold care. An airport can connect us with the wider world.

The thread through my work is a curiosity about people: who a project is for, what they need, and what it can make possible.

Creative thinking. Considered decisions. Ideas made real.

A place
to remember.

Oasis

Design can connect,
educate and empower.

Oasis was a light and sound installation created for Vivid Sydney in 2018. Across the Royal Botanic Garden’s Twin Ponds, 600 lights remembered the Forgotten Australians—people who grew up in institutional and other forms of care.

A twenty-minute sequence of light and music moved through loneliness, fear and childhood play towards a calmer close. The swaying lights returned upright, expressing fragility and resilience.

City transformation

A street is also
a shared experience.

Public spaces hold the ordinary moments of a city: walking to work, meeting a friend, finding a place to pause. How a project is delivered matters to the people who use that place every day.

The work beneath
a lasting landscape.

A memorial park carries a particular responsibility. Construction must make space for its future while respecting the families, visitors and staff who rely on it in the present.

Aviation rescue fire fighting

Behind every journey,
people ready to respond.

An airport connects people with family, work and opportunity. That connection depends on infrastructure that helps keep passengers, crews and the people working at the airport safe.

Aviation rescue fire fighting facilities give emergency crews a base to operate from and a place to train. Their readiness depends on the station, training ground and supporting infrastructure working together.

Hello, I’m Gunjit.

Curious by nature.
Thoughtful in practice.

Civil engineering and architecture shaped my foundation. Today, I bring design thinking and project delivery together, from early ideas through to the work on the ground.

I care about who a project is for, what they need, and what it can make possible. Always learning. Always ready for a conversation.

Ideas worth
talking about.

I’m curious about how places shape our lives, and how design can help people feel connected and cared for. If that’s something you think about too, I’d love to hear your perspective.
